The early childhood program offers educational services through a variety of programs for children ages 3-5 at no cost to families. We serve children with identified developmental needs and typically developing preschool-age children utilizing research-based instructional programs at multiple locations throughout the school district.
In addition to our classrooms being led by state-licensed staff, the Early Childhood Program has specialized staff available to support the unique developmental and learning needs of children included in the program. The specialized staff includes ELL (English Language Learner) staff to support bilingual learners, speech and language therapists, motor therapists, social workers and special education teachers.

Thank you for your interest in our program! We accept applications for age-eligible children throughout the year. The steps of the application process are as follows.
- Families need to complete the following application:
Program Application
- Email the completed form to DeanaCampbell@usd475.org.
- Once your application is received, links to two (the ASQ-3 and the ASQ-SE) online parent questionnaires will be sent to you. Families will answer the items on the questionnaires and click submit.
- EC staff will review the submitted questionnaires and call to discuss any potential concerns with you and to possibly schedule an in-person screening. If there are no concerns regarding the child’s development, they will be placed on our waiting list.
- When a placement is available, you will be notified by phone of the location and class session being offered.
- Families will be sent directions to complete the “New Student” enrollment process online. Once completed, the child’s start date will be determined.
