The USD 475
Information Technology Department is committed to serving the staff
and students of Geary County Schools. With over 3,000 computers
operating in our newly-architected Windows Network environment, we
are striving to bring educational technology tools to the classroom.
Part of this commitment has been the acquisition of notebook
computers for all certified staff and mobile wireless computer carts
for classroom use.
To help with the
integration of information technology into the curriculum, the
department offers the services of four Instructional Technologists.
Two network administrators keep all aspects of the network at peak
running condition and five Desktop Technicians troubleshoot and
provide technical support for all notebooks and PCs. Staffing at
central office includes CIO Jan Pabitzky, one Customer Service
Representative who mans our HelpDesk and our IT Secretary. Two
Application Developers write and support programming of all types to
keep our information systems running smoothly.
