5.  Why is it when I log onto Infinite Campus the link that shows that I need to take attendance is missing?

If the link showing you to take attendance is missing, you need to contact your building secretary.  What happens usually is that adjustments have been made to a student's attendance after receiving a phone call, the system was updated through classroom monitor, and the attendance was taken for you.  If there are changes once you get to your classroom as far as other students being absent, contact your building secretary to adjust the records.

6.  How do I print mailing labels from Infinite Campus?

After logging into Infinite Campus, go to Index> Census> Reports> Mailing Labels.  You can select the criteria you want for your mailing labels.  Remember when printing the PDF document, that you must set Page Scaling to None so the labels will print correctly.  A Cheat Sheet on generating mailing labels is located on the Documentation portion of this site.

8.  When using Gradebook and trying to copy Groups from one class to another, why does the term I want to copy not show up?

When using the Copy Group Function in Campus, you have to have a Folder or Group in the task you want to copy to before it will show up in the Copy Group. Once you have built the Group, go to the Copy Group selection and when you have the groups opened up, right click in the gray area and select Refresh to show all the folders or groups that you have created. Once that is done you should be able to copy your assignments to the group you want.

9.  Why won't the Lesson Plan Copier in Gradebook allow me to copy my lesson plan from the previous year over to the new year?

When using the Lesson Plan Copier at the beginning of the school year to copy a lesson plan from the previous year, ensure that you have created NO folders under the Lesson Plan for the Current school year. If you have then the Lesson Plan Copier will now work. Delete any Groups you have set up and try the Lesson Plan Copier again.

10. When I am putting scores in my Gradebook, the scores show up on the right side in the gray boxes.  Why does nothing shows up in the yellow boxes on the left side of my Gradebook?

Go to Lesson Planner and find the grading task that you are working on.  Select the Grading Task and ensure that you have selected a grading curve.  Once grading curve is selected and you have saved, the running totals should reflect in the Gradebook.

11. Why do my percentages and grades not calculate correctly when I'm using Weighting on Groups in Gradebook?

When using the Weighting on Groups option in the Lesson Planner and Gradebook, all folders and groups must total 100%.  You cannot have each group at 100%.  For example:

Homework = 20%
Class Participation = 20%
Tests/Quizzes = 60%
  100% Total

12. I've entered assignments in my Lesson Planner and entered grades, but found out that I entered them under the incorrect Task.  Do I have to completely reenter all my assignments and grades?

No, you do not have to reenter anything.  Go to your Lesson Planner.  Find the task where you put the group and assignments and select the group under that task.  In the drop down at the bottom of that group editor window, select the task where you want to place the group and then click save.  Please note that when you move groups to another task to make sure that you to to that task and select your grading curve.  The grading curve does not move with the group.  If you have posted grades for that task, you will have to repost the grades again.

13. I've posted grades in my Gradebook.  Why is it when I make any changes to any scores for my students, that the corrections are not reflecting on the printed report card?

Once you have posted grades for the report card, any changes that you do to any scores will not be reflected on the posted grade.  You will need to REPOST your grades again and generate a new report card if necessary.

14. I have students that are close on their percentages for getting a higher grade.  Why doesn't Infinite Campus round up the percentages?

At both Elementary and Secondary levels there have been Grading Curves created to allow either Straight Grading (i.e. 80, 70, 60, etc.) and Curved Grading (i.e. 89.5, 79.5, 69.5, etc.).  To select the Rounding Curve instead of the Straight Curve, go to your Lesson Planner, select the task you want to change the curve on, and then select the appropriate curve for your building or grade level.  All Curves with rounding have "Rounding" in their names.
