Description:
Students will learn and explore the real world through wireless
connections. Hands-on learning will include TI navigators, palms, tablet pcs,
and laptops in and out of the classroom. Round table discussions will be held
with expert presenters. Online testing practices will also be addressed." Discussion will include how state online testing
preparation and participation was completed - wired and wireless access.

Description: Participants will create and edit movies
right on your computer. Learn how to share your movie via the Web, e-mail, or
CD. Using third-party software you can take movies you've made and turn
them into DVDs. You can also save your movie back to the video tape in
your camera to play back on a TV or on the camera itself. Movie Maker is a
free software program available with Microsoft®.

The TechKnow
Block provides a myriad of learning opportunities in
discovering effective
use of technology tools. Participants enrolled in this
year-long block can select various
workshops and will work with the IT specialists to design
and configure individualized learning opportunities.
Highly interactive - small group and one-on-one sessions
included - flexible scheduling. Discussion will include how the projects align to district and
state curriculum, and technology standards.
