Technology Literacy Survey -- Before teachers and administrators begin Level 1 courses, they will complete a Technology Literacy Survey to help them define goals throughout the program.  This survey will be completed at New Teacher Orientation or at the first Level 1 session a person attends - whichever opportunity comes first for the participant.

The literacy survey is designed to help each staff member keep "in check" with their goals throughout the ITI program.

Complete online:

  • Before Level 1 courses
  • Before Level 3 courses
  • After Level 3 courses

A thumb drive will be awarded for each participant who completes the survey before taking Level 1 courses.

LEVEL 1 provides professional development for utilization of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Publisher.  Professional Development is provided for Basic (Module 1) and Intermediate (Module 2) courses.  Each participant must complete or test out of Modules 1 and 2 for all applications to advance to Level 2.  If a participant has received Microsoft® Certification, this is also equivalent to testing out of modules.  MOS Certification must include exams in ITI Level 1 courses.  Microsoft Publisher is not part of MOS Certifcation.

A "Freestyle Computer Messenger Bag" and an ITI certificate will be awarded for each participant who completes all modules of Level 1.  Participants will receive compensation for attending courses beyond the regular contract.

Click on each Application listed below to see the Module Outcomes.

LEVEL 2 provides professional development for a a variety of technology tools to support classroom learning.  After completing a total of four Level 2 courses, the participant can advance to Level 3.  Examples of technology integration courses and tools follow:

  • Movie Making (digital camera)
  • Digital Storytelling (audio recorder)
  • Using Spreadsheets (color printer)
  • Multimedia Tools (notebook web cam)
  • Internet Resources (speaker system)

LEVEL 3 provides Skill and Enhancement tracks that assist the participant in implementing a combination of technical skill and classroom integration planning at an advanced level.  The participant attends a preparation session as well as advanced skill trainings and curriculum integration planning.  In addition, learners expand their knowledge through on-site collaboration within their online community forum.

After Level 3 sessions are completed, participants receive an incentive such as a SmartBoard, projector, tablet or other incentive that support the user's technical integration needs.
