The State of Kansas authorizes school districts to collect enrollment fees for the rental of textbooks. This fee is collected at the time of enrollment or arrangements can be made to defer the payment to a later date during enrollment. Under the federal income eligibility guidelines, families who qualify can have textbook fees waived.
