Dr. Reginald Eggleston

Dr. Reginald Eggleston currently serves as the Superintendent of Geary County Schools USD 475. He currently oversees 18 schools and 7,000 students. Prior to this position, he served as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)/Assistant State Superintendent over state intervention for the Alabama State Department of Education. Dr. Eggleston has been a Special Education teacher, assistant principal, high school principal, Director of Special Education and Student Services, and assistant superintendent over Federal and Special Programs and Schools. He has over 25 years of experience in public education.

Dr. Eggleston is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserves with 28 years of military experience. He has served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn. He currently serves as the Battalion Commander for the 4-413th SROTC BN in Fort Knox, KY.

Dr. Eggleston earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism at Troy State University. A Master’s Degree in Special Education at The University of Alabama in Birmingham, an Educational Specialist Degree in Administration at Auburn University in Montgomery, and a Doctor of Education at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Eggleston has completed the following military schools and courses: Quartermaster Basic Course, Transportation Advanced Course, Combined Arms Exercise Course, Support Operations, Contracting Representative Course, Airborne School, The Joint Logistics Course, The Reserve Component National Security Course (RCNSC), Command and General Staff College Intermediate Level Education (ILE) and Advance Operations Course (AOC).

Dr. Eggleston graduated from the Alabama Superintendent’s Preparation Program in 2005 and has completed numerous leadership programs at Harvard University.

Dr. Eggleston and his wife Regina reside in Junction City, KS.
