The Library Media Services (LMS) and Institutional Resources Center (IRC) Division’s mission is to encourage lifelong learning and to meet the information needs of students, teachers, and staff of USD 475 by providing them with the necessary resources they need to be successful.  Our department is responsible for instructional materials, textbooks, curriculum materials, processing library books for schools, and managing the district assets and resources in order to optimize student and staff learning.  We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Please come and visit us.

The Director of Library Media manages the Instructional Resource Center (iRC) as well as directs all Library Media Specialists. She also manages Destiny, all textbook orders and KITE.

The Library Media Secretary is responsible for ordering for all libraries and processing book orders. She also manages the LMS budgets and textbook inventory. Gina is responsible for student computer inventory and maintaining records for computers in Destiny. She maintains the Destiny database and uploads student photographs to system. Gina is the contact for problem in Type to Learn and Discovery Education.

The Secretary/IRC is responsible for purchasing, processing, receiving and checking out materials at the Instructional Resource Center (iRC). She handles all textbook orders for all schools. In addition, she is responsible for purchasing, processing and checking out materials and resources for Special Education: tests and equipment for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Hearing Impaired, Visual Impaired materials and Special Education.
