Curriculum Head Start's adopted curriculum is the Creative Curriculum. This curriculum promotes and enhances your child's growth and development in the following areas: ●
Physical growth such as running, jumping, walking a balance beam,
writing their letters in their name, stringing beads, and putting
puzzles together. The health component provides evaluation of medical and dental needs. Reviews children's files to insure an on going source of continuous healthcare, and preventative care. We also provide hearing and vision screenings. Heights and weights are measured twice a year. We identify and provide nutrition education and counseling for families. Head Start
makes ten percent of it's enrollment opportunities available to
children with disabilities. Special Education services are
provided to all Head Start children in need of special services.
Special Education services include, but are not limited to:
cognitive, social, self-help skills, speech and language, physical
therapy, and occupational therapy. All services are provided
at Head Start. |
