Special Recognition
USD 475 is pleased to announce that two of our schools, Sheridan and Fort Riley Elementary have received the 2011 Governor’s Achievement Award. Schools that receive this award are among the top schools in Kansas. To be eligible, schools must meet strict guidelines of academic excellence that include the following:
1) Must receive the Standard of Excellence in both reading and math for 2011
2) Must meet Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in both reading and mathematics and in one additional category (school attendance) for 2011
3) Must test in the top 5% in both reading and math on the 2011 state assessments 
Congratulations to these schools!
