ACTE Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to Junction City High School agriculture science teacher Ms. Miller for being chosen as the 2021 Association for Career and Technical Education Region V Teacher of the Year, and a finalist for the national Teacher of the Year award!
JCHS Student Publishes Five Books
Junction City High School senior Brysen has published five books before graduating, and he’s already working on his next one!

Congratulations to this week’s #ThrivingThursday recipient, Destiny! Destiny is a bright spot in her teachers’ day! She is always so kind to everyone around her, even if there are not people with whom she would normally spend time. No matter what peers she is partnered with, she is patient and spends time ensuring that they all have a chance to be heard and be successful. Way to #ThriveIn475, Destiny!

- October 4 – Board of Education meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Mary E. Devin Center for Education Support
- October 7 – Junction City High School Military Appreciation Night football game at 7:00 p.m. at the Junction City High School Stadium
- October 8 – End of First Quarter
- October 8 – Early Childhood and Elementary Plan Day, no school for all elementary and early childhood students
- October 9 – Junction City High School Ribbon Cutting at 10:00 a.m. at the Junction City High School
- October 15 – Parent/Teacher Conference Day for Early Childhood, Elementary, and Middle Schools
- October 21 – Tentative Board of Education meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the Mary E. Devin Center for Education Support
Child Find Screenings
Child Find Screenings occur twice a month during the school year and are scheduled through the Early Childhood Center office at (785) 717-6950. For more information regarding the application process, please click here.
