Hutton Construction Project Manager, Curtis Calvert, sent us some photos from the progress at the new JCHS.
Great progress the last two weeks on exterior sheathing (green board) and air barrier (black coating) along the front of the building. Clerestory canopies at the academy commons are being framed so that the large curtain wall (glass) windows can be measured and fabricated. Interior wall framing, rough-ins, wood blocking, and fireproofing on-going. The first window frames arrived and are being installed today!
Crews work to set out primary steel members at areas H & K which consist of the kitchen, commons, FAHS commons and classrooms.
Masons are laying lower level CMU walls in the boys and girls team rooms adjacent to the football stadium.
Wrestling room concrete tilt-up wall panels have been poured.
Asphalt and paving work is underway on the South side of the school, on the future Blue Jay Way.
