Remote Learning Update for 2020-21 School Year

Kansas School Districts are required to achieve a minimum of 1,116 school hours in each school year (KS 72-3115).  This equates to no less than 186 school days for pupils.  The equivalency to this is a 6 hour school day where students are involved in learning for 360 minutes.

We share this to let you know that whether you enroll your child in a Brick & Mortar School Building or chose the Remote Learning option, that every student must meet the 360 minutes of daily learning

What does this mean for Remote Learning?

-Student must have daily connection with a teacher (their assigned remote learning teacher), AND

-Student must maintain a daily log of activities signed by student and parent and submitted to the school district that EQUATES to the 360 minutes DAILY.

We are still awaiting the Navigating Change 2020 Document from the Kansas State Department of Education and will share those details with you on Friday, July 17.

We do know for certain that KS 72-3115 is required for the 2020-2021 school year in order for the District to receive credit and funding for the student.

*If you have already enrolled your student for in-person classes for the 2020-21 school year and would like to switch to remote learning, please follow the instructions found here:

Thank you for your continued patience as we continue working on the details of the remote learning platform. Remember that the Remote Learning enrollment deadline is July 31.
