The team met in person at 8:00. Due to technical difficulties, the meeting was not able to start until 9:00. Ground rules were reviewed and amended. A list of 20 issues was generated. The length of the school year and benefits were resolved prior to the start of the meeting. The team discussed Early Childhood report and plan times and reached a consensus on these issues. Teachers leaving during plan time was a discussion item, but this was a discussion item only. The team also discussed online teaching in case we need to utilize online teaching in the future, this was also just a discussion. Supplemental leave was discussed but tabled since money is tied to the issue. The next item discussed was elementary voting for when students enter the classroom. This issue was tabled until additional information could be presented. Middle school workload language was discussed, and schedules were shared. This issue was tabled while data is collected. Next, the item examined was teacher appraisal, no consensus was reached on this issue. The additional information needed to complete the discussion about elementary contact time was answered, so the issue was brought back to the table. The issue was tabled as it was the end of the day.
The next meeting is scheduled for June 11, 2020 at 8:30-11:00 and 2:00-5:00 at the Devin Center.
