The State of Kansas is expanding to assist families that are dealing with food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to recent changes enacted by congress, SNAP benefits are available for more families in this time of need.
SNAP has recently released information and resources that are available to families of children that qualify for free or reduced lunches. They have temporarily waived the requirement of in-person interviews, and have made the process as easy as possible for families to apply for food stamps.
