State of Education Meeting

On January 28th, 2020, Geary County Schools is holding it’s very first State of Education Meeting.  This event will take place at Junction City Middle School, at 6:30pm.

The State of Education will be an opportunity for Dr. Reginald Eggleston, Superintendent of USD 475, to discuss some of the changes he has implemented within the district and his plans and goals for USD 475 moving forward.  It is also an opportunity to recognize accomplishments within the district by students and teachers. 

This event will also feature performances by the JCHS Choir, the JCMS Orchestra, and it is being hosted by JCHS Student Body President, Elyse Nguyen.  The JCHS JROTC students will be on hand to present the colors before the event. 

Principals from the Early Childhood Center and the 8th Grade Magnet Program will have tables set up before the event, and will be available to answer questions about their respective programs.

Dr. Eggleston will be presenting the Master Teacher Award, Horizon Award, Kansas Teacher of the Year Awards, and Superintendent’s Awards for outstanding staff in the district.  He will also present elementary school students with the 3R’s Awards, which is given to students that demonstrate respect, responsibility, and positive relationships.  He will also be available for pictures after the event. 

This event is open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to attend.
