Deployment Support Information and Resources

USD 475 has many students of military families attending every school in our district.  These students often face difficult challenges associated with military life, especially around times of deployments.

Fort Riley has had approximately 7,000 service members return home recently, and approximately 4,000 more are preparing for deployment soon.  The return and impending departure of family members can cause stress for students, both at home and in the classroom.

Fort Riley officials and USD 475 are committed to supporting the students and families of service members.  There are many resources available for families of deployed service members, and a wide range of information available to help these students and families during difficult times.

Below are just a few links to some of the videos, documents, and activities available for families. USD 475 encourages parents and students to contact their school for access to more information and assistance, if it is needed. USD 475 provides access to Military Family & Life counselors for students and their families.  Parents and students can find contact information and more, here: https://web.usd475.org/depts/communications/SitePages/Military-Resources.aspx

USD 475 wants to express our gratitude to all of our service members and their families for their sacrifices and their service.
