On Wednesday, November 20th, Geary County USD 475 served it’s annual Thanksgiving meal to students and families across the district. Families were invited to eat lunch with their children at their respective schools, and we had many families take advantage of the opportunity.
As is tradition, top officials from USD 475 were on hand to serve Thanksgiving lunch to the students and families of the district.
Superintendent Dr. Reginald Eggleston was front and center at Morris Hill Elementary, on Fort Riley, to greet each student, and to thank their family members that bravely serve their country. He greeted each one with an attitude of gratitude, humility, and appreciation.
Mrs. Rina Neal, President of the Geary County Board of Education, was happy to share her smile and beaming personality with the students, staff, and families at Franklin Elementary. She helped the kitchen staff serve food and then went out to greet students and talk with family members.
Next week, Geary County USD 475 students are not in school. As we head into the holiday break, the administration, staff, and Board of Education would like to wish you all a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday. We are all thankful for the opportunity to serve this community, and we look forward to seeing our students, staff, and families when we return.
The Directors at the Mary Devin Center and President of the Board of Education, Mrs. Rina Neal, took a moment to reflect and speak on what they are grateful and thankful for.
