The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by USD 475 and the State of Kansas in recognition of students who have studied and attained proficiency (both reading and writing) in two or more languages by high school graduation. Students must demonstrate the state-determined level of proficiency in both languages by their performance on designated tests. Those who qualify will have the Seal of Biliteracy placed on their high school transcripts.
